Fletton Man Charged with Murder

A man has been charged with the murder of Elisabeth Carroll, 64, in a residential dwelling located in Kings Road, Fletton, Peterborough.

Michael Carroll, 59, of Kings Road, Fletton, said to be Elizabeth Carrolls' husband, is set to appear before Magistrates at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Saturday Morning May 26th. No application for bail. Michael Carroll was arrested by police on Thursday May 24th.


Michael Carroll in a 3 minute hearing appeared at Peterborough Magistrates Court at 10am on Saturday,  and confirmed his name, address, and date of birth.

The charges alleging the murder of Mrs Carroll on or before May 24th  were read out before the court. Carroll was committed to Cambridge Crown Court, to appear Monday May 28th.

Magistrate Benjamin Damazer remarked: “You are facing an allegation of murder, and that will be dealt with at Crown Court in Cambridge."
